In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend, Alabama Rural Ministry (ARM) invites community members to participate in a special Great Day of Service on January 18, 2024. 

This year’s theme is True Neighbor, taken from Dr. King’s sermon on the topic of serving our neighbors. The day of service will kick off on Saturday, at 7:30 am, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Tuskegee. 

Breakfast and a devotional will be provided for volunteers from across Macon and Lee Counties. At 9 am, volunteers will join together for impactful home repair projects across Tuskegee, helping to uplift the community and embody Dr. King’s spirit of service. Participants are encouraged to bring their children, who will be hosted at ARM’s Mission HUB at Tuskegee United Methodist Church, and enjoy various fun and educational activities from 9 am through 4 pm on Saturday. Lunch will be provided.
